Inspiring SA Community Grants

These projects will provide opportunities to learn about, connect with and get excited about science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine. You are welcome to apply for more than one grant but for different projects. This funding is targeted to support events and activities between September 2025 and January 2026. General grant categories are below:

Community Science Engagement 2025

Grants for projects delivering community science engagement and science communication projects in South Australia. Grant available:

  • Up to $3,500 for delivery in metropolitan Adelaide
  • Up to $4,500 for delivery in regional and remote South Australia

Grant for projects which share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine knowledge and culture

Key dates for all community grants:

  • Applications open 14 May 2025.
  • Applications close 15 June 2025
  • Grant recipients announced mid-July 2025
  • Successful applicants submit a valid tax invoice by end of July 2025
  • Project must be delivered by 31 January 2026
  • Post project report and evaluation submitted by 28 February 2026

SA National Science Week Grants 2025 are now closed

National Science Week, 9-17 August 2025, is Australia’s annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine.

The SA National Science Week Committee thanks those who applied for 2025 funding, and advises that the grant round is now closed. This funding is targeted to supports events and activities that occur in and around National Science Week in August. The following grants are available:

  • up to $3000 for events and activities in metropolitan Adelaide
  • up to $3500 for events and activities in regional and remote areas

The assessment committee aims to announce the winners of this grant round in early June 2025.
